A modern take on a vintage silhouette — timeless style meets refined comfort.

The Tokyo Linen Trouser is our signature wide-leg pant, inspired by the effortless elegance of 1950s tailoring and thoughtfully reimagined for women who value style, comfort, and sustainability.

Featuring a cropped wide-leg that architecturally tapers towards the ankle, the Tokyo Trouser is defined by its unique centre-leg dart — an intentional design detail that elongates the leg and creates an interesting artistic line that works across all body shapes. The result is a pant that feels polished, flattering, and endlessly wearable.

Why you'll love the Tokyo Linen Trouser:

  • Flattering Fit: Centre-leg darts sculpt the leg and add subtle structure, making this style incredibly slimming and easy to wear.

  • Comfortable Waistband: A wide, flat-stitched elastic waistband sits gently at your natural waist without twisting or bunching — comfort you can rely on all day.

  • Smart Pockets, Zero Bulk: Cut-away pockets frame the body and create balance, while stitched-down linings eliminate hip bulk and discomfort.

  • From Day to Night: This isn't your average pull-on pant — the Tokyo Trouser offers elegant structure and refined drape, perfect for styling up or down.

  • Premium Linen Fabric: Crafted from OEKO-TEX® and European Flax® certified 100% linen, this breathable, natural fabric softens beautifully with every wear.

This slow fashion essential is consciously made in small batches to support ethical production and reduce waste. Designed to flatter sizes 8–22, the Tokyo Trouser transitions effortlessly between seasons and occasions — from relaxed mornings to evening soirees.

FIT GUIDE

Find your perfect fit — feel confident, comfortable, and beautifully you.

At Eva Cassis, we design relaxed, timeless silhouettes made to celebrate your shape, not change it. Each garment is created with ease, movement, and comfort in mind — thoughtfully tailored for women aged 40, 50 and beyond, who value both form and function.

Our inclusive sizing spans AU 8–22, and each style is fitted on real women, not just fit models, to ensure flattering proportions and wearability across a range of body types.

How Our Garments Are Designed to Fit

Relaxed Fit
Many Eva Cassis pieces are cut with generous ease for drape and movement. This doesn’t mean shapeless — it means fluid silhouettes that skim the body without clinging.
Perfect for layering, traveling, and everyday elegance.

Elasticated Features
Styles often feature elastic waists or cuffs, allowing for flexibility and a custom feel while still looking refined.

Layer-Friendly Cuts
Our designs are made to layer seasonlessly. From lightweight shirting to trans-seasonal dresses, you can adjust how you wear your garments based on the season or your mood.

Sizing Chart

We follow standard Australian sizing, but sizing can vary slightly by style depending on fabric and design.
Use the chart below as a general guide:

Tip: If you’re between sizes, for dresses and tops we generally recommend choosing the smaller size unless you prefer extra ease or layering room. For skirts and pants we recommend sizing up if you are between sizes.

Style-Specific Fit Notes

Each product page includes specific garment measurements and fit notes to help you choose the right size for that particular style. You’ll find details on:

Where a garment is meant to sit

Whether to size up/down depending on body shape

Fabric and drape

🌿 A Thoughtful Approach to Fit

We encourage you to shop mindfully — to choose garments that align with your lifestyle, your body, and your values. Fewer, better-fitting pieces = less waste, more joy.

We believe that comfort is elegant, and your wardrobe should support your life — not the other way around.

📐 How to Take Your Own Measurements

Taking a few quick measurements at home is the best way to ensure your Eva Cassis garments feel just right from the very first wear.

You’ll need:

A soft measuring tape (or a piece of string and ruler)

A mirror

A relaxed, unhurried moment — make it feel like self-care 💚

Tip: Stand naturally and don’t pull the tape too tight. It should feel snug but not restrictive.

Bust

Wrap the tape around the fullest part of your bust, keeping it level across your back. Make sure you’re wearing a comfortable everyday bra (not padded or minimising).

🖼 This measurement helps us recommend the best size for tops, dresses, and layering pieces.

Waist

Measure around your natural waistline — usually the narrowest part of your torso, just above your belly button. Breathe normally and don’t hold your stomach in.

🖼 Important for pieces with elastic or fixed waistbands like trousers and skirts.

Hips

Stand with feet together and measure around the fullest part of your hips and bottom — usually 20cm (8") below your waist.

🖼 Use this measurement when choosing pants, skirts, and dresses with more shape.

Optional: Upper Arm, Thigh, or Shoulder-to-Hem

Some styles list specific garment measurements for ease. If you're after a perfect sleeve fit or dress length, feel free to take these too:

Upper Arm: Measure around the fullest part of your upper arm

Shoulder to Hem: Measure from top of shoulder down to desired dress/top length

GARMENT CARE

Care for your clothing, and it will care for you.

Every Eva Cassis piece is designed to be worn, loved, and treasured for years to come. We work exclusively with natural, certified sustainable fibres — like linen, cotton, and silk — which not only feel beautiful on the body, but also age gracefully when properly cared for.

Slow fashion begins with thoughtful choices, and continues with gentle maintenance. Below, you’ll find our simple guide to help extend the life of your garments.

🌿 General Care Tips

  • Wear more, wash less: Natural fabrics benefit from airing between wears. Try hanging your garment in fresh air before tossing it in the wash.
  • Spot clean when possible: A gentle dab on a small mark can help avoid unnecessary laundering.
  • Use a laundry bag: Especially for lightweight or delicate items — this protects against tangling and abrasion.

🫧 Washing Instructions

Most Eva Cassis garments can be gently hand-washed or cold machine-washed on a delicate cycle with other delicates. Avoid adding any garments with zippers or hardware in the same cycle if you choose to machine wash.

  • Turn garments inside out
  • Use mild, eco-friendly detergent (no bleach or optical brighteners)
  • Wash in cold water only
  • Do not wring or twist

Avoid dry cleaning unless specified — it's often unnecessary for natural fibres and can be harsh on the planet (and your garment).

☀️ Drying

  • Reshape while damp and lay flat or hang in the shade
  • Avoid direct sunlight, which can fade natural dyes
  • Never tumble dry — it can shrink or warp natural fibres

🧺 Ironing & Steaming

Natural fabrics like linen and cotton will have a soft, relaxed crinkle — we embrace this as part of their beauty.

  • If needed, iron inside out on low to medium heat
  • A handheld steamer is a gentle alternative and ideal for refreshing garments between wears

🪡 Hand-Frayed & Embroidered Pieces

Our hand-frayed and hand-embroidered linen scarves are delicate by nature.

  • Always hand wash gently in cold water
  • Lay flat to dry
  • Store rolled or folded in a drawer or linen pouch to avoid snagging

🧥 Storage

  • Store in a cool, dry place
  • Avoid wire hangers — use padded or wooden ones to preserve shape
  • Give garments breathing room — no overpacking!

For seasonal items, store them clean and dry, away from light and moisture. Natural fibres need airflow — we don’t recommend vacuum-sealing.

♻️ When Repairs Are Needed

We encourage our community to mend and love their garments longer. If you need advice on how to repair your Eva Cassis piece, we’re happy to assist — just email us at info@evacassis.com.au
